“Success is not final, failure is not fatal, it is the courage to continue that counts.” When at his home, Winston Churchill wrote and worked at a standing desk that was given to him by British statesman Benjamin Disraeli, who like many of his Victorian generation preferred to be on their feet whilst writing.
Despite smoking 10 cigars a day Churchill lived until he was 90 years old.
Standing and working can strengthen your lower back, improve your posture and enhance your mental focus. It certainly worked for Winston!

Sam grew up working with wood in his Father's kitchen workshops but went on to study graphic design and after a few years working in London agencies set up his own graphic, exhibition and product design business in 2000. Gradually the business evolved into a digital agency but the calling to work with wood again was too strong and in 2013 Sam started designing furniture again in his spare time.
In 2015 his first concept prototypes were produced and now Sam is focussing on designing amazing furniture that improves the user's wellbeing and makes a design statement in any space.
Sam is husband to Kia, Helmm's marketing expert, and a devoted father. He likes to spend his spare time drawing, shooting video and photos and is a bit fanatical about bicycles.
