Our La-Stand is an elegant wooden laptop stand that will support any laptop for a perfect ergonomic lift. It can be used on it’s own or split into two parts to raise two devices at the same time! (perfect for iPad Pro and other tablet users) Then, when you are done, the whole thing packs down compactly to fit into your bag. Designed, made and hand finished by us in the UK from sustainable source European Birch plywood.

I actually only bought this for the inner pieces to use with my iPad Pro and Apple Pencil – it props the iPad up a just the right angle for drawing and writing. The rubber bits on top keep everything nice secure. I didn’t think I’d use the taller part but I’ve started taking it with me when I use my laptop and it’s the spot on height, got to use it with a separate keyboard and mouse though!

The whole concept of Helmm really floats my boat – from the British design and manufacture, to the eco-friendly materials, and the general coolness of the products, and so I loved my La Stand when I got it, have lived with it for a while now… and still love it!
It puts my laptop screen at a perfect height, and forces me to have the screen further away, stopping me hunching over my laptop like some crazed maniac, which saves me from the standard laptop-induced neck strain! The snugness of the pieces wears off with use, but this is no bad thing as it becomes easier to build, with no detrimental effect on the sturdiness. And whats more – it folds away nice and neatly into the supplied carry bag in seconds – a beautiful finishing touch to my minimalist mobile office 🙂
